Requesting Materials
We are currently in the process of depositing our plasmids at Addgene.com non-profit repository. If the you are interested in a plasmid that is not available yet on Addgene, follow the directions below.
Instructions for Requesting Materials:
The transfer of plasmids requires a Universal Biological Material Transfer Agreement (UBMTA) to be filled out and signed by both providing and recipient labs.
Your institution must be a signatory of the agreement contortion that is the UBMTA, published in the Federal Register on March 8, 1995 for the UBMTA to be valid. If you are not certain if your institution is a signatory of the UBMTA, proceed to the following website:

If your institution is NOT listed, you must negotiate a transfer with the University of Minnesota’s Office for Technology Commercialization. Please contact Rachel Muntean for further instructions.
If your institution is listed, follow the instructions below.
Filling out the UBMTA:
1- Download the UBMTA form
2- Fill out the recipient information. Hint: the RECIPIENT SCIENTIST is and must be the Primary Investigator of your lab.
3- The RECIPIENT SCIENTIST (Primary Investigator) must sign the UBMTA (the only signature required is that of the Primary Investigator, unless deemed necessary by your institution)
4- In order to process your request, we will need a shipping number from FedEx or Airborne Express. Please include this information on the top of the UBMTA or on the fax cover sheet.
Fax the UBMTA form with Fedex number to Elizabeth Fedie at 612-625-9810.

Your request will be cross-referenced with the UBMTA signatory list. If everything seems in order, materials will be sent out as soon as possible.
